Shipping Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Manager to lead our shipping and distribution operations. This role is essential in ensuring products are shipped and delivered on time, aligned with company standards, and meeting customer satisfaction goals.


Responsibilities

  • Plan and monitor outgoing deliveries
  • Supervise logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer service teams
  • Organize the warehouse, label goods, and process outgoing shipments
  • Collaborate with departments to streamline shipping operations
  • Maintain detailed shipping records and reports
  • Build internal and external relationships with suppliers and distributors
  • Ensure safety and compliance with regulations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Shipping Manager or similar role
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a shipping team
  • Excellent organizational and coordination abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills for logistics and scheduling
  • Physical stamina for standing and lifting when needed

Requirements

  • 1+ year operating a sit-down forklift
  • 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or related field
  • 3+ years in a leadership role
  • 1+ year experience in the tile industry
  • Valid state driver’s license with clean DMV record
  • Physically able to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Familiarity with warehouse and distribution workflows
  • Hands-on, energetic, and lead-by-example mindset

Education

  • Associate’s degree in logistics or supply chain management (Preferred)

Work Environment

This role is split between a professional office and warehouse setting. You’ll use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing systems while also being active in warehouse operations.
