December always seems to arrive with a mix of excitement and reflection. It’s a month that invites us to slow down just enough to look back on everything the year held—and the moments that quietly shaped us along the way.
As the year comes to a close, this wrap-up is a chance to pause, reflect, and appreciate what this final month brought. Meaningful moments, here’s a look back at how December unfolded.

We began collecting toys for Toys for Tots at the end of November, and once December arrived, the donations truly started rolling in. Every few days, new toys would arrive, and with each delivery, the excitement continued to grow. Seeing our Fairfax and Fredericksburg locations fill up boxes with generous donations was incredibly heartwarming—we knew that each toy represented a moment of joy waiting to happen for a child this holiday season.

One of the most touching moments of the month came when a sweet family stopped by with their three young children. The kids were so excited to see the toys they had carefully picked out placed into the donation box, knowing they were meant for other children to enjoy. Watching their eagerness and generosity was a beautiful reminder of the true spirit of the season and what it means to give back.

Before long, we started running out of space in our donation boxes. We added an extra empty box to our warehouse counter just to keep up—and it wasn’t long before that one began filling up too. Seeing the boxes overflow was an incredible testament to the generosity of our community and how eager everyone was to help make the holidays brighter for children in need.

As Christmas week approached, the holiday spirit was in full swing. Our team had a great time showing off their ugly Christmas sweaters, adding plenty of cheer to the office. We also set up a hot cocoa and hot apple cider bar in the kitchen for everyone to enjoy, complete with toppings like mini marshmallows, cinnamon, peppermint sticks, and more. It quickly became a staff favorite, and everyone loved stopping by throughout the day for a warm, festive treat.

We also had the pleasure of hosting an Employee & Customer Appreciation Event, which turned into an incredible night of fun for our staff, customers, and their families, generously hosted by the Fick Family. The evening was filled with great food and even better company, with activities for everyone to enjoy—cornhole, axe throwing with Fredericksburg Axes, a craft table for kids, a photo backdrop for fun, photobooth-style pictures, and plenty of games, raffles, and prizes.
The best part of the night was the purpose behind it all. We asked attendees to bring a new, unopened toy to support the Toys for Tots program, and for each toy donated, guests earned an extra raffle ticket for the prize drawings. It was a meaningful and fun way to network, mingle, enjoy each other’s company, and give back to our community on the final day available to donate.

To wrap it all up, the next morning we delivered all of our donations to the Toys for Tots warehouse, and we couldn’t have been prouder. Seeing four boxes completely full—along with numerous bikes, scooters, and ride-on stick animals—was an incredibly rewarding moment. It was the perfect way to close out 2025, filled with gratitude, generosity, and community spirit, as we look ahead to the holiday season and step into the new year with full hearts.
Happy 2026!
